We are happy to report that today the Autodesk Vault Sizing Guide is live on IBM’s website! This tool uses details about customer’s environment in conjunction with software performance metrics to create specific hardware recommendations.
If you would like to test drive the new guide, create a free user account on IBM’s site. The initial release estimates hardware requirements for document centric workflows at a single site. In future updates we’ll add support for Items, Change Orders and Replication.
Parameters taking into account during the configuration of hardware include:
- Total number of users
- Percentage of simultaneous users
- amortization period of server
- new Vault implementation vs. migration from older version
- Total size & number of files
- …and more
When complete, you will be provided a suggested system with options to print out, save to PDF, and even modify your estimation details.
