When Only the Latest Will Do (Opening from Vault Explorer)

In Vault 2014 as part of an effort to consolidate user workflows and improve usability, the open command
in Vault Explorer has been modified to align with the CAD integrations.

Never noticed?  Well, this functionality only really effected the revision management versions of Vault where open from Vault Explorer gathered the file dependencies based on revision rather than latest versions of the stored files.

How come? This approach originally assumed that CAD users would always be opening files from their native CAD application to edit rather than Vault Explorer, something that turned out to not always be the case, so we are moving to bring the two commands back into sync meaning that the user will see the
same default file results whether opening from Vault Explorer or CAD.

Good news too for those of you who liked the old way just fine – if the legacy behavior is preferred the administrator can re-enable revision bias open behavior via
a configuration file.
