Many of you may already be aware but I thought it might be worth going over some of the new features in Vault Mirror 2014 available on our appstore here.
In addition to a few minor bug fixes such as repairing the cancel button on the UI (Seems no one noticed it wasn't doing anything?!?) and modifying failed download behavior so they no longer leaving behind "0 byte" files we also added some popular user requests:
Vault Mirror no longer requires Vault Client to be installed, however broken CAD references will not be resolved if Vault Client is not present and this is more good news, as Vault Mirror will now enable the Vault file reference resolution tools by retaining the "_V" folder created under normal conditions.
In terms of the command line, the "-noFail" switch has been added to allow Vault Mirror to move to the next file if there is a download error, instead of immediately aborting and adds the new command line option "-WF" allowing you to download files based on your working folder settings.
Altogether this should mean a much more stable and useful release of what is one of Doug Redmond's most popular apps and what we have found to be an integral part of many people's Vault setup.
Head up to the appstore to have a look and browse through some of the other available tools updated for 2014 – at this stage we are still waiting on the hotly anticipated update to Drawing Compare and hope to have something available in the near future.
