How to Switch Autodesk Fusion Manage Interface to “Modern”

September 17, 2024

Autodesk Fusion Manage is a cloud-based product lifecycle management solution. If you’re new to Fusion Manage, you may not realize that Autodesk customers began using the PLM solution more than 13 years ago.  Fusion Manage cloud PLM helps organizations automate product development workflows and collaborate efficiently across teams and suppliers with the ease of working from anywhere.

If you’re one of our Fusion Manage customers not yet using its modern user interface, be sure to first check out the blog post on why you should use Fusion Manage Modern UI. We created this post with the steps to follow to switch from the tenant interface style “Classic” to “Modern.” There is so much more you can do with the Modern interface, so we want to make sure you take advantage of it.

STEP 1

As a tenant admin, if you prefer to change the interface style to “Modern” for all users then go to STEP 4, otherwise go to STEP 2-3.

STEP 2

Navigate to Administration -> System Configuration -> General Settings -> Under “General Display Settings,” Interface Style and select “User may choose” if you want other users to choose themselves. Then click Save at the bottom.

STEP 3

Every user can switch from Classic to Modern by clicking on the Fusion Manage logo in the footer.

OR manually change the interface style by going to My Profile -> Interface Style -> set to Modern. Then click Save. Refresh the page.

Note: If you want to switch back temporarily, use the “Switch back to Classic” option under your profile picture in Modern.

Once we lock all users in Modern on January 31st, 2025, there will be no option to switch back.

STEP 4

Navigate to Administration -> System Configuration -> General Settings -> Under “General Display Settings,” Interface Style and select Modern. Then click Save at the bottom.

That’s all there is to it. We hope this post helped make it easy for you to switch from the “Classic” user interface to “Modern” in Fusion Manage.
