This post launches a theme on Vault integrations within various applications. If you’ve followed along, we have focused on Vault with Autodesk Inventor, and the occasional AutoCAD integration and workflow. It’s time to discuss the results of a little project of mine.
I took a look at the read-me doc for Vault, specifically the section on Qualifying Autodesk Products. See table below. Then undertook the odyssey of installing ALL of these products (and a few others not on the list), just to see how they interact with Vault.

Coming up, I will show the integrations, discuss workflows, propose best practices, and showcase the Vault integration with these products. Starting at the top and working down the list seems like a good way to work, unless I get distracted (squirrel) and need to focus on another product. Stay tuned, as the first one is an integration that has been there since ever – 3DS Max and Vault.
