Vault Fun Fact of the Week – Column Format for a Single Folder

In the standalone Vault application, by default, any changes to the column headers in one folder are manifested in all folders. This ensures a consistent view when browsing from folder to folder. However, there are times when the contents of a particular folder require very specific columns to reveal very specific properties. If you want to reveal properties in the grid for a particular folder only, simply right-click on the folder and change the Apply Settings To option from “Default View” to “Current View”. Any subsequent settings will be applied to that view (folder) only.

Note: This setting is included in the XML files that can be “pushed” to all users’ machines.
