The August 2021 Model Coordination update enhances multi-model review with a clash tolerance filter, and offers support for additional IFC files.
Clash Tolerance Filter
A tolerance filter is now available when reviewing clashes within Model Coordination, assisting you to prioritize major clashes. This can help you capture and track the issues with the greatest impact on your projects.
As your project progresses, you can adjust your required tolerance to match your needs. For example, start with a larger tolerance in earlier stages, then refine as designs develop and evolve towards fabrication level of detail.
Define tolerances in either decimal inches or millimeters. Enter any positive value manually, or step up/down in 0.5 inch or 10mm increments. The clashes list and viewer will dynamically update and temporarily hide clashes below this value.
Use the tolerance feature with other clash filters and grouping to tailor clash review between specific trades or disciplines.
Updated IFC Support
Model Coordination now supports IFC files exported from AutoCAD Architecture, AutoCAD MEP and Autodesk Civil 3D (from 2018 onwards). These IFC files can be aggregated and clashed within Model Coordination, in any combination, with existing supported IFC, native RVT and DWG files. This addition supports a wider range of design partners and project requirements.
