How Project Phoenix fulfils their sustainability and business goals

An empty plot of land in West Oakland, California, will soon transform into The Phoenix that will consist of 316 affordable and sustainable homes. MBH architects, Factory_OS and Autodesk have teamed up, leveraging AI and other new technology and materials, to ensure that this project will be built at about half the cost, time, and carbon footprint of a typical project. 

Along with other innovative initiatives, using digital tools like Autodesk Forma for early-stage design allows MBH Architects to rapidly explore a huge variety of design iterations that meet these complex project goals. Forma empowers designers to begin with building blocks from previous projects, generate arrangements powered by Autodesk AI, view real-time performance analysis, and quickly lock in on designs that maximize desired outcomes.
