It’s where you’ll start your AU week and also where you’ll end it. It’s a place you’ll go to meet with colleagues, a place you’ll go to party, and a place you can go to just relax. Maybe you’ll even play a game or 2 of corn hole there.

It’s the Hub, and if you’re headed to AU, it’s an important place to know about. It’s on Level 2, the main floor for all the big social events. As the name indicates, it’s sort of the center of the AU wheel, a place you’ll return to for various reasons (or any time you feel like it).

What’s happening in the Hub?

Orientation Tours—Learn your way around the AU campus with a 30 minute Orientation Tour led by AU alumni. They’ll be leaving from the Hub every hour on Sunday, 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., Monday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., and Tuesday, 7:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m.

The AR Gallery—Explore 3D models created by students as part of the Design for Industry program using the latest augmented reality technologies. Projects are from the fields of automotive, space, medical, and more.

Welcome Reception—Monday night from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. we kick off the week of learning with drinks and small bites. Catch up with old colleagues, make some new connections, and get focused on what you want to get out of your week.

Breakfast—Morning bites are served 6:30 a.m.-8:00 a.m. each day in the Hub. Grab your coffee, a pastry, some fruit, and some protein on your way to class.

Meet-up Café—The Hub is the home of the Meet-up Café, where you can sit down with colleagues to continue a conversation or start one. Groups of 4 or fewer can reserve a table through OpenTable on the the AU app. Larger groups can reserve space with staff at the Café check-in desk. And you can always just take your chances without a reservation.

Regional Receptions (APAC, EMEA, and LATAM)Gather for an evening with peers and experts from your region to build relationships, share knowledge, and see how others are solving the same challenges you face. Light refreshments will be served.

Meetups—Hang with your peers while networking over a game of Giant Jenga, cornhole, lawn bowling, or ring toss. Read more about the meetups.

Relaxation—Stop into the Hub anytime to relax, check email, or charge your phone.

Farewell Happy Hour—As Thursday comes to a close, return to the Hub from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for drinks and small bites to cement new connections, lock in the learning, and get prepared for your return to the real world.
