Design and Fabricate Your Own Portable Speaker at the Product Innovation Platform

Stephanie Wells
October 4, 2017

The hottest piece of swag at AU this year will not be an Autodesk backpack (as awesome as they are). It will be your own one-of-a-kind portable speaker that you have designed and fabricated yourself on Tuesday at the conference.

That’s right, we have a new program at AU this year called the Product Innovation Platform. Over the course of 6 sessions on Tuesday, November 14, you will:

  • design and solder a PCB board using EAGLE
  • design your speaker enclosure in Fusion 360
  • output drawings and marketing images
  • generate toolpaths
  • machine the housing and put it all together

It’s like a crash course in product development and fabrication, so you can see how all the pieces come together. You’ll learn about electrical engineering, mechanical design, and manufacturing. You’ll get to work with the latest generation of desktop manufacturing tools, including CNC milling machines, 3D printers, and laser cutters. And you’ll get a chance to network with an eclectic mix of product designers and engineers, as well as the Autodesk development teams that make the software.

Want to dive into the future of making things? This is your chance.

It should be a fun, intense, and satisfying day. And you’ll go home with your own portable speaker that is truly unlike any other. Because you made it.

Register now. And get ready to Turn. It. Up.
