With the recent hurricanes hitting the U.S. and the Caribbean, disaster recovery is on everyone’s mind. Join us for a special meetup at AU—Reality Capture on 3 Length Scales: Rebuilding After Natural Disasters—to learn how recent advances in reality capture technology are enabling experts to identify disaster zones, assess damage, and track repairs in hours and days instead of weeks and months.

We’re excited to have the dream team of Daniel McKinnon, director of product for Orbital Insight (recently listed by Forbes as among the next billion-dollar startups), Dominique Pouliquen, senior manager of ReCap Business Development and Michael Mizuno, senior product manager of ReCap Product Line at Autodesk, and Matt Daly, CEO of StructionSite, to discuss how they’re currently using a combination of satellites, drones, LIDAR, and 360-degree cameras to support the recovery from Hurricane Harvey and other natural disasters.

It should be a fascinating glimpse into the evolution of a professional practice that will have a major impact for anyone in the path of a storm. Join us Thursday, November 16, 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. in Veronese 2403 at AU.

Add the meetup to your schedule now. Registration is encouraged and anyone can join.

Don’t have your AU pass yet? Buy now and you can still save $425.
