Tailor Make Your AU: Introducing Tailored Experiences

Stephanie Wells
August 23, 2017

3 days. 700+ classes to choose from. You can’t attend them all. (We tried once. It didn’t work.)

So how do you pick your AU classes? How do you focus your experience at the conference? How do you ensure that you’ll learn what you need to learn (and meet who you need to meet) to get where you want to go?

This is the AU dilemma. (It’s a good problem to have, but still, it’s a thing.) Rick Ellis shared his take on scheduling, but if you’re looking for more guidance and suggestions, check out this year’s Tailored Experiences. They’re sets of suggested classes, activities, receptions, and exhibitors organized around key industry trends and cross-industry developments. AU Advisory Council members have created Tailored Experiences, too. Consider them like the staff picks at your local bookstore or record shop, or like the chef’s tasting menu at your favorite restaurant.

You’ll find a Tailored Experience about design visualization and VR. You’ll find another all about the cloud and collaboration. You’ll find 1 about generative design and another about industry convergence. There’s 1 that highlights all the top-rated speakers from AUs gone by and another that gathers together great case studies across industries.

So if you’re finding yourself slightly befuddled by the wealth of options at AU, see if there’s a Tailored Experience that matches up with your interests or your industry. Remember, they’re just suggestions. You’re welcome to mix and match and also simply order à la carte from the complete AU catalog.

It’s your AU, after all, and you can schedule it how you want.

 We’ll see in you Vegas!
