Autodesk University is pleased to announce the winners of the AU 2013 Speaker Awards. These highly coveted awards go to the speakers who receive the highest scores from AU Las Vegas attendees based on after-class surveys. The surveys included questions about both content and presentation.
To qualify, a speaker’s roundtable class needed a minimum of 10 survey submissions. All other class types needed at least 25 survey submissions to qualify.
The speaker rating is the average of:
- Quality of class materials
- Level of preparation
- Quality of technical content
- Knowledge of subject
- Ability to present and communicate
The average speaker rating this year was 8.52 versus 8.48 in 2012.
And the winners are…
Lecture: Marcello Sgambelluri with a score of 9.94. This award goes to the speaker with the highest rating for a lecture class. Not only did Marcello have the highest score for a lecture, he also had the second and third highest score as well for his other sessions.
Hands-on Lab: Michael Beall with a score of 9.74.This award goes to the speaker with the highest rating for a hands-on lab.
Roundtable: Fenton Webb with a score of 9.84. This award goes to the speaker with the highest rating for an roundtable session.
Newbie: Robert Clark with a score of 9.61. This award goes to the highest-rated first-time AU speaker.
