Last night, the Cut&Paste Design Slam at AU2009 kicked off with a flourish, featuring Autodesk executives Carl Bass, Buzz Kross, and Phil Bernstein in the "Modeling for Bond, James Bond" design exhibition. Each designed a gadget or home for the legendary British spy 007 using cutting edge techniques in Autodesk’s newest signature tools.
Afterward, Jeffrey McGrew of Because We Can won the "Dangerous Liaisons" competition where the jury selected his observation deck (shown at left) to complement the Royal Saltworks by Claude Nicolas Ledoux. Applauded by the onsite and webcast audience alike, Jeffrey won an HP Mini 110 netbook for his efforts.
Tonight will feature two more 20-minute competitions in Mandalay Bay G at 8 p.m. Don’t miss it!
