Have you ever had trouble finding a design file for a standard component you know you’ve created before—or maybe even many times before? Well, we’ve got good news for you. If you made it to AU Las Vegas 2015, you may have heard Mike Haley, senior director of the Emerging Products & Technologies team at Autodesk, talking about a new product called Design Graph, which uses machine learning to categorize design data and build design taxonomies. In practical terms, it helps you find what you’re looking for.

This revolutionary product, which will be available later this year as part of the A360 platform, has more then a few heads turning. In fact, DEVELOP3D just wrote an article about it:

The article goes pretty deep into how machine learning works and what Design Graph will do, which is figure out on its own how to categorize design data, rather than relying on metadata created by humans. (Oh humans, we’re so unreliable.)

Check it out, and while you’re at it you might want to watch Mike Haley’s AU Las Vegas 2015 class to learn more: Exploring your Design Information with Machine Learning Using the Design Graph.

The future’s getting closer every day.
