The LA Auto Show happens every November, and the Autodesk Designer Night is a fixture of the week, a chance for designers, modelers, and studio leaders to step away from the stands and spend an evening with the Autodesk team, as well as network and mingle with each other. It’s back again this year, but this time it’s not alone.
On Thursday, November 19, 2026, we’re adding a full day before the party: the Design Studio Innovation Sessions, a hands-on look at the technology and workflows shaping what comes next in the studio.
Explore. Exchange. Shape what’s next.
The Innovation Sessions take place at the Moxy in Los Angeles. Each session is a 90-minute, open-format experience. No keynotes to sit through and no slides to view. You move through four interactive technology stations at your own pace and talk directly with the Autodesk and partner experts running them.
The four experiences are:
AI-powered concept design with Vizcom + Autodesk Alias. See how AI can shorten the trip from early sketch to developed design through a live workflow that moves from Vizcom into Alias.
AI-powered visualization with Darkline FRAME. Watch design data turn into finished visual content, from stills to motion, without leaving Autodesk workflows.
XR in the Design Studio. Put on a headset and step inside the design. This immersive review shows how teams can evaluate vehicle concepts at full scale before building anything.
The Connected Studio. Explore real-world workflows from across the Autodesk ecosystem, featuring partner technologies from Linkage Design, Darkline, Eagle Point, Silverdraft Supercomputing, and Vizcom.
How sessions are spread out
Four sessions run throughout the day (all times PST):
- Session 1: 9:00-10:30 AM
- Session 2: 11:00 AM-12:30 PM
- Session 3: 1:00-2:30 PM
- Session 4: 3:00-4:30 PM
Sessions are assigned, not self-selected, and we’ll share your session details beforehand. Every session includes all four experiences, so no one misses anything.
Then it’s on to Designer Night
Once the last session wraps, head to the GRAMMY Museum in the heart of Los Angeles for Autodesk Designer Night 2026, which runs from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
Connect with fellow designers, digital modelers, visualization and CMF professionals, for food, drinks, and great conversation. Reconnect with familiar faces, meet the people pushing the industry forward, and celebrate the work that goes into everything on the show floor.
Hopefully, the Innovation Sessions provide some great conversation starters with your Autodesk staff and partners.
How to join
Both events are invitation-only. If you’ve received an invitation, you can register here:
