GDC 2026: From Prompt to Game-Ready 3D Assets with Autodesk Flow Studio

3 min read

Give your imagination some dimension

We’re heading to GDC 2026 from March 9–13 — and we’re bringing something special with us. As the global game development community gathers in San Francisco to shape the future of interactive experiences, we’re hosting a live workshop designed to spark fresh ideas and hands-on exploration.

Join Harvey Newman — Animation Director, YouTuber, and Founder of Proxima Studio — for a special session streaming live on LinkedIn on Tuesday, March 10. In this workshop, Harvey will showcase how the latest AI model in Autodesk Flow Studio, Wonder 3D, can accelerate 3D asset creation with a simple text or image prompt, helping game developers and creators move from concept to polished results with greater speed and flexibility — without sacrificing creativity. The best part? No 3D modeling experience is required.

Whether you’re building expansive worlds for your next game or just starting your journey into game development, tune in to discover how to create smarter, iterate faster, and bring your ideas to life with confidence.

What You’ll Learn

Harvey will demonstrate how to turn simple prompts into production-ready assets that support early-stage workflows such as storyboard development, prop creation, character ideation, and scene building.

Flow Studio recently introduced powerful asset generation capabilities available across all tiers:

Text to 3D: Turn a simple text prompt into a fully editable 3D character, creature, or prop, complete with geometry and texture. Generate quickly, then adjust and reuse assets across your projects.

Image to 3D: Convert sketches, concept art, or reference images into structured 3D models. Refine textures, reshape forms, and continue building in your existing animation pipeline.

Text-to-Image: Rapidly generate visual assets to test characters, scenes, and story ideas — then turn what works into real 3D.

Who Should Attend?

If you’ve ever had a creative concept living in your head — but weren’t sure how to bring it into 3D — this workshop is for you.

If you’re an indie developer building your next adventure, a solo creator shaping original characters, or a content creator exploring 3D for YouTube, TikTok, or short-form storytelling, this session is designed to meet you where you are.

You don’t need deep CG experience or a complicated setup. You just need an idea. Harvey will show you how to turn that spark into fully editable 3D assets — so you can spend less time figuring out the tools and more time creating, sharing, and building your world.
