Amy Gile’s natural curiosity has made for an interesting – and sometimes unexpected – career.
Working in the entertainment industry as an actor and producer, Amy began to see a place where she could make a real difference: visual technology.
With Dr. Srinidhi Varadarajan, Amy developed a supercomputer to support the demands of rendering, animation, and visual effects in fast-paced industries constantly looking to accelerate time-to-market.
We’ve talked with Amy before about Silverdraft and how it can accelerate rendering in VRED.
This time, Pierre-Paul Andriani and I spoke with Amy about being a nerd (she is), her role model (her grandmother), and what the tech world is like for women (not great, getting better).
